Known for her use of a long curved blade called a naginata and a short dagger called a kaiken, Lady Tomoe is said to have led as many as 1,000 soldiers into battle in the 13 century. As fiercely flavorful as the figure it imitates, the Yamato Lady Tomoe Samurai Edition is a product of the Yamanashi Prefecture Distillery and has aged for at least 8 years in choice Mizunara oak barrels. The distillate is then dumped and transferred into a large, single vat for further finishing. Yamato Lady Tomoe is composed of 60% grain whisky and 40% malt and bottled at a balanced 40% ABV (80-proof).
