The Old Fitzgerald brand was first registered in 1884, with a history that includes surviving Prohibition as one of the few licensed for medicinal whiskey. It gained legendary status under the ownership of Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle, who positioned it as a premium wheated bourbon.  Today, this 7-Year-Old expression is made under the exacting standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act, with a whisper of wheat.
