Château Dauzac is a highly-regarded Fifth Growth Grand Cru Classé estate in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France, celebrated for its rich history of winemaking innovation, including the development of the famous "Bordeaux mixture." The estate's vineyards are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on gravelly soil, benefiting from their proximity to the Gironde Estuary. This unique terroir and meticulous winemaking result in a powerful yet elegant wine with classic Margaux characteristics, capable of aging gracefully.
The 2020 Aurore de Dauzac is the second wine of the renowned Château Dauzac, offering an elegant expression of a highly-regarded Bordeaux vintage. Composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine presents a fresh and concentrated palate with notes of black fruits, licorice, and spice. Thanks to the exceptional growing season, it is a well-structured and balanced wine that is enjoyable now with decanting but also has excellent potential for graceful aging.
" This is clean, focused and mineral with aromas of blueberries, blackberries, bark and graphite. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Linear and fresh. 65% cabernet sauvignon and 35% merlot. Vegan. Drink from 2024."
