"Distilled at Caffo’s Friuli distillery, this grappa is comprised of 95% Magliocco and Gaglioppo grapes, with 5% Pinot Grigio. Caffo Grappa Italiana is distilled twice on an alembic pot still with the grape skins steam distilled, resulting in a softer, less fiery spirit than expected from the category. The nose is more reminiscent of an unaged Armagnac or Pisco, with high floral notes and aromas of Bosc pear. The palate is soft and silky, showing plenty of pear, underripe tropical fruit, toasted rice, and fresh cream. Enjoy on its own or mixed into cocktails needing that dried fruit and herbal touch. Slow steam distillation of Italian grape skins."
