" One of the highlights of my tasting at Huet was the 2018 Vouvray Moelleux Cuvée Constance. It unfurls from the glass with a profound and layered bouquet of white truffle, spices, baked pear, spring flowers and ripe orchard fruits. Full-bodied, dense and remarkably concentrated, it possesses a deep core of fruit and a flawlessly balanced mid-palate, elevated by bright, luminous acidity. The finish is incredibly ethereal and racy, leaving a lasting impression of purity and finesse. Even more seamless and refined than the 1995 Clos du Bourg Première Trie, this is a benchmark wine—and a clear candidate for a perfect score in the years to come. A blend of fruit from all three of Huet’s terroirs, it contains 136 grams per liter of residual sugar. First produced in 1989, Cuvée Constance is only made in exceptional vintages."
