"This wine is textbook Carricante with a rather neutral first nose that cedes to delicate aromas of orange blossom and beeswax. The 2018 Etna Bianco Enrico IV offers substance and power with medium-rich textural fiber. If I were to bet on the aging future of a white wine from Etna, I might put this bottle forward. The aromas here should evolve and turn to more petrol-like characteristics (somewhat similar to Riesling) over the next five years or so. This wine, this vintage, is a special surprise. It's a beautiful effort and a great Sicilian value."
