" Dark, fragrant and spectacularly rich, it initially bursts with layers of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate. Ultimately opens to reveal a more nuanced bouquet of a violets and cassis combined with layers of tea leaf, tobacco star anise and spice box. The wine has an amazing texture and depth while maintaining great purity and focus. Beautifully proportioned, it reveals concentrated fruit and sensational structure. It deftly straddles the line of providing near term pleasure; yet has nicely integrated fresh acids and high tannins to reward patience."
