" The 2013 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has an incredible, inky purple hue. It’s starting to show glimpses of this fantastic vintage and come out of its hibernation with aromas of asphalt being buttressed by plum, black licorice, sandalwood and spiced meats. The entry is massive and creamy with great balance between the structure and richness of the mid-palate. It is consistent in its richness throughout the palate and follows through with a dense core and long finish with fruit flavors—but also some grip, suggesting it has a long life ahead of it. No sediment noted. This wine can be enjoyed now and will continue to improve through 2041. ."
